The company's sound barrier project for the Ningbo Rail Transit Line 4 extension has passed its initial acceptance inspection.

At 10 a.m. on February 2, the sound barrier construction project for the Ningbo Metro Line 4 extension project welcomed its first completed section for acceptance inspection. Inspectors from the Safety and Quality Supervision Station, along with representatives from the construction, supervision, and design teams, conducted thorough checks and evaluations of both the施工现场 (construction site) and the工程 documentation. They gave positive feedback on the quality of the initial section, marking a successful completion of this milestone. This smooth acceptance signifies that the sound barrier construction for the entire Ningbo Metro Line 4 extension project is now set to fully kick off!

The "Law of the People's Republic of China on Noise Pollution Prevention and Control" came into effect on June 5, 2022.

The Law of the People's Republic of China on Noise Pollution Prevention and Control (adopted at the 32nd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress on December 24, 2021) comes into effect as of June 5, 2022. At the same time, the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Noise Pollution" is hereby repealed.

Draft Noise Pollution Prevention Law Opens for Public Comment; Prevention Measures to Be Included in Performance Evaluations

The draft Noise Pollution Prevention and Control Law is now open for public comment starting today, August 21, with the consultation period ending on September 18. The draft has already been published on the website of the National People's Congress of China. In March of this year, "strengthening the control of environmental noise pollution" was included for the first time in both the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Visionary Goals Outline for 2035. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment has explicitly stated that this year it will collaborate closely on revising the Noise Pollution Prevention and Control Law, enhancing comprehensive planning, source control, categorized management, collaborative governance involving society, and accountability for environmental damage. Additionally, the ministry will initiate preliminary research for a Noise Pollution Prevention Action Plan and a noise-target assessment system, while also piloting assessments of acoustic environment functional zoning.

The government is implementing a comprehensive relocation plan for noise-affected villages surrounding Beijing Capital Airport.

Noise has long been a major challenge affecting the lives of villagers living near Beijing Capital International Airport. Recently, thanks to the joint efforts of relevant authorities, the once "noise-ridden village" has completed its full relocation.

The 100,000-yuan "noise ticket" carries a significant warning message.

A construction site in Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, was caught illegally conducting nighttime work despite repeated warnings, severely disrupting the rest of nearby residents. "We’ve issued a fine of 100,000 yuan to the construction company—this is also the highest-ever 'noise-related penalty' imposed across the county," a relevant official from the county’s Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau told reporters yesterday, sharing the details of the case.
