(Summary description)At 10 a.m. on February 2, the sound barrier construction project for the Ningbo Metro Line 4 extension project welcomed its first completed section for acceptance inspection. Inspectors from the Safety and Quality Supervision Station, along with representatives from the construction, supervision, and design teams, conducted thorough checks and evaluations of both the施工现场 (construction site) and the工程 documentation. They gave positive feedback on the quality of the initial section, marking a successful completion of this milestone. This smooth acceptance signifies that the sound barrier construction for the entire Ningbo Metro Line 4 extension project is now set to fully kick off!
At 10 a.m. on February 2, the sound barrier construction project for the Ningbo Metro Line 4 extension welcomed its first completed section for acceptance inspection. Inspectors from the Safety and Quality Supervision Station, along with representatives from the construction, supervision, and design teams, conducted thorough checks and evaluations of both the construction site and the project documentation. They provided positive feedback on the quality of the initial section, marking the successful completion of this key milestone. This seamless acceptance signals that the sound barrier construction for the entire Ningbo Metro Line 4 extension project is now ready to fully commence!
The sound barrier construction project for the extension of Ningbo Metro Line 4 is being undertaken by Shanghai Shenhua Acoustic Equipment Co., Ltd. Located between Cicheng Station and Cicheng West Station, the project features a fully enclosed sound barrier system, complemented by a small number of upright-type barriers. The fully enclosed barriers are designed with a gate-shaped, closed-frame structure tailored to varying bridge widths, spaced longitudinally at 2-meter intervals and standing approximately 7 meters high. Notably, the first section of the sound barrier is situated in an arc-shaped segment of the track, where the inner and outer radii differ significantly, posing challenges for high-altitude operations and making lifting tasks particularly difficult. To complicate matters further, the project encountered extremely cold weather conditions during construction. Since the start of work, the project team has meticulously analyzed the key challenges and critical aspects of this particular operation. They have carefully developed specialized construction plans, including a detailed initial-stage construction plan, a dedicated lifting and hoisting scheme, and a comprehensive high-altitude work safety protocol. Additionally, all workers have received thorough safety training and technical briefings to ensure both construction safety and smooth, systematic progress throughout the project.
To ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the noise barrier project for the western extension of Ningbo Metro Line 4, construction was temporarily paused for a few days during the Spring Festival holiday. Work fully resumed on the fifth day of the new year. Moving forward, the project team will continue to embrace the "start with full speed" mindset, tackling challenges head-on while maintaining meticulous planning and organization—contributing actively to the steady and rapid advancement of Ningbo’s metro development!
