Soundproof Door for the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall

The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall is located at 1380 Fuxing Middle Road, Shanghai. With a total floor area of 19,950 square meters, it features a 1,200-seat concert hall and a 400-seat chamber music venue. Designed under the leadership of world-renowned architects Arata Isozaki and Yasuhiro Toyota, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall stands as China’s first "fully floating building," constructed atop a system of springs. Equipped with cutting-edge multimedia technology, the main hall boasts 10 reflective panels that can simultaneously project visuals, enabling live, two-way synchronized performances with venues around the globe. Meanwhile, the chamber music hall doubles as a state-of-the-art 3D recording studio, filling a critical gap in Shanghai by providing a dedicated space for large-scale professional symphony orchestras to record their work. To mitigate noise and vibration disturbances caused by the nearby Line 10 subway, the concert hall has been fitted with advanced vibration-isolation technology, making it not only the city’s first fully suspended structure but also a pioneering example of architectural innovation in urban environments. Notably, all the soundproof doors for the concert hall were supplied in 2014 by Shanghai Shenhua Acoustic Equipment Co., Ltd.!
