Xinjiang Huadian Midong Thermal Power Plant Noise Control Project
The noise-reduction project at Xinjiang Huadian Midong Thermal Power Co., Ltd. began construction in early March 2023 and was completed in September 2023. This power plant is the largest coal gangue-fired thermal power plant in Xinjiang by total installed capacity, and it was also the first unit in Xinjiang to successfully complete ultra-low emission upgrades. Moreover, the facility serves as a living museum of the city’s development, playing a vital role in providing heating to 13 million square meters of residential areas in Urumqi’s Midong District.
Jin Yidong Metropolitan Area Rail Transit Sound Barrier
On August 30, 2022, the Jinyi section of the Zhejiang JinYiDong Intercity Rail Transit System—spanning from Jinhua to Yiwu—officially began operations, marking the entry of the time-honored "Eight Wus" region into a new era of integrated transportation. The entire JinyiDong line stretches 107.17 kilometers, running from Jinhua Station all the way to Hengdian Passenger Transport Center, with a designed top speed of 120 km/h. Of this, the newly opened Jinyi section covers 58.4 kilometers and features 17 stations. Once operational, commuters can now travel from downtown Jinhua to Yiwu city center in as little as 36 minutes, significantly reducing the time and distance between the two cities. This groundbreaking development not only enhances mobility for residents along the route but also provides them with a fast, convenient, and comfortable public transportation experience. From the very beginning of the project, the owner and design team carefully planned and addressed noise-sensitive areas by implementing soundproofing solutions, primarily through the use of upright and fully enclosed sound barriers. Our company was awarded the contract for this project following a competitive bidding process. In total, the construction of upright and fully enclosed sound barriers spans an impressive 8,183 linear meters.

Located in Jinan Subdistrict, Lin'an City, Lin'an Green Energy Environmental Power Generation Co., Ltd. spans an area of 3.78 hectares. Primarily fueled by municipal solid waste, the company employs advanced, reliable, and proven production processes and state-of-the-art equipment to efficiently process garbage. By harnessing the heat generated from incineration, it transforms waste into a valuable energy source—turning trash into treasure! Recently, the company received notification from the environmental protection authorities: noise levels from its chimney had exceeded permissible standards, disrupting the peaceful lives of nearby residents. Recognizing "Shenhua Company's" strong expertise and industry influence in the field of environmental noise reduction, Lin'an Green Energy entrusted us with the critical task of addressing this issue! To minimize disruption to the plant’s ongoing operations, Lin'an Green Energy requested that we complete the noise mitigation project within just two weeks. The goal was clear: effectively eliminate the low-frequency noise emanating from the chimney, ensuring that measurements taken at monitoring points near residential areas along the factory boundary meet the stringent Class II urban noise standards. Time was tight, and the challenge was immense—but we rose to the occasion with unwavering determination. With meticulous planning, cutting-edge technology, and the collaborative efforts of our dedicated team, "Shenhua" not only delivered exceptional results but also set a new benchmark for efficiency, finishing the project ahead of schedule in just 10 working days. Our success earned high praise from the client and underscored our commitment to excellence. This noise reduction project for Lin'an Green Energy marks another milestone for Shenhua Company, following our previous work on noise control systems at Hangzhou Jiufeng Power Plant, Changzhou Guangda Power Plant, and Suzhou Guangda Power Plant.
