Shanghai Metro Line 17 Sound Barrier Project
The western extension of Line 17 stretches from the existing Dongfang Luzhou Station to Xicen Station, spanning approximately 6.6 kilometers in total. To address potential noise disturbances caused by train operations after the line opens, the construction team has installed a 2.7-kilometer-long upright sound barrier along the route. Our company began construction in early March 2024 and completed the project by mid-May! Once the western extension of Shanghai Metro Line 17 is fully operational, it will significantly boost the development of the Hongqiao International Hub, support the growth of Qingpu New City, enhance the city's internal transportation system, and ultimately foster higher-quality integrated development across the Yangtze River Delta region.
