Changsha Lujing Road South Extension Fully Enclosed Sound Barrier

Category Belonging

The full-closure sound barrier project for the southern extension of Lujing Road in Changsha spans a total length of 140 meters, with a central standard section measuring 32 meters in span. The transition section gradually increases its center span from 32 meters to 41 meters. The project, which required a total investment of approximately 13 million yuan, saw the project team overcoming pandemic-related challenges by efficiently utilizing nighttime closure periods for construction. While prioritizing safety and quality, they ramped up manpower and equipment to accelerate progress, successfully completing the construction within the scheduled timeline.

According to the project's original design drawings, the tunnel entrance was initially planned with a vertical sound barrier. However, considering the project's proximity to residential areas, the owner decided to enhance noise reduction for nearby residents by increasing financial investment. As a result, the original vertical barrier was upgraded into a fully enclosed sound barrier, significantly minimizing noise pollution.
