The Yunnan Chuxiong Converter Station is the world’s first ultra-high-voltage direct-current transmission project, as well as China’s first domestically developed demonstration project for UHV DC transmission. Construction of the noise control project at the Yunnan Chuxiong Converter Station began in January 2012 and was completed in August 2012. The project involved the fabrication and installation of sound barriers, soundproof windows, soundproof doors, along with related auxiliary materials.
