A Friendly Reminder to Avoid Noise During the Gaokao Period
Dear residents of Dexing, local business owners, and construction companies:
Hello everyone! The 2021 Gaokao exam is fast approaching. To ensure that students have a quiet and orderly environment for studying, resting, and preparing for the exam, we kindly remind you to strictly adhere to the noise restrictions during the Gaokao period (June 4–9). Here’s a friendly reminder from Dexing City Urban Management Bureau:
1. During the Gaokao period, suspend the approval of all outdoor promotional activities—such as celebrations, exhibitions, and sales events—that could potentially disrupt candidates' preparation or exam participation; approvals will resume as usual after the Gaokao concludes.
2. All indoor renovations and outdoor mass entertainment activities that may generate noise are strictly prohibited to avoid disrupting students' studies and normal rest.
3. Commercial promotional activities are strictly prohibited from using high-volume public address systems or any other methods that generate excessive noise to attract customers.
4. Construction work is prohibited during midday and nighttime around all campus areas. During exam periods, construction activities are banned entirely—except for emergency repair projects—throughout the day in and around each campus and examination venues.
5. Night snack vendors operating within the urban area are strictly prohibited from setting up shop outside their designated locations. During business hours, loud noises and other uncivil behaviors are not allowed. Additionally, all stalls in residential areas (including night-snack stands) must cease operations by 10 p.m.
6. Units and individuals found to have violated the above regulations and caused adverse effects will be dealt with strictly according to the law.

At this tense and critical moment, the Dexing City Urban Management Bureau urges everyone: Please consciously follow the relevant regulations. If you notice any potential hazards or issues that could disrupt candidates’ studies, rest, exams, or even affect smooth traffic flow—such as construction activities, noise disturbances, or other obstructions—please don’t hesitate to call our complaint hotline at 12319. Our bureau will immediately dispatch enforcement teams to address these concerns, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and peaceful environment for all examinees as they prepare for—and take—their exams.
