The country's first demonstration project integrating photovoltaic power generation with noise control in the power industry has officially begun construction!

Recently, the patented “Integrated Photovoltaic Sound Barrier,” jointly developed by Shanghai Shenhua Acoustic Equipment Co., Ltd. and the East China Electric Power Design Institute of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, has officially commenced construction at the Hezhou ±800 kV Converter Station—the key national project, the Shaanbei-Anhui ±800 kV Ultra-High Voltage Direct Current Transmission Project. This project not only represents the nation’s first demonstration project in the power industry to integrate photovoltaic power generation with noise control, but also marks a significant breakthrough for Shenhua in achieving cross-sector technological integration in the field of environmental acoustics, providing an innovative model for the coordinated development of green energy and noise reduction in China!

On June 27, 2025, the newly revised “Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People’s Republic of China” was officially adopted and will come into effect on January 1, 2026. The new law significantly strengthens penalties for noise disturbances in residential areas, upgrading from previous warnings and small fines to mandatory measures that can include up to 10 days of administrative detention. This change marks the official entry of noise control efforts into a phase of "serious enforcement."
